punk rock quartet from Sheffield, UK

FFO: The Menzingers, Spanish Love Songs, The Wonder Years, The Gaslight Anthem

Formed in 2022 with members from punk veterans High Visions and Shanghai Treason, Sheffield-based quartet Trouble Sleeping create melodic, catchy punk rock songs with a DIY edge. Consisting of drummer Alex Fell, lead guitarist Harley Fortune, bassist Joel Hughes, and vocalist Zygmund “Zyggy” de Somogyi, the group’s idiomatic style wears its heartland punk influences on its sleeve, blending infectious punk rock melodies with the Americana-tinged riffs and story-focused songwriting of Bruce Springsteen and The Gaslight Anthem, and the dynamic and concise energy of Joyce Manor and Spanish Love Songs.

Known for their trademark conjunction of punk styles, and infectious live shows and attitude, Trouble Sleeping’s debut single Blackout releases 10th March on INiiT Records, with their launch party in Sheffield on the following weekend. With an uncompromisingly earnest punk rock sound, contagious energy, DIY attitude, and a debut album on the horizon in Summer 2023, Trouble Sleeping are a name to watch out for.
